Northern Boys went down to the South for 2006, an epic journey of painful proportions. Tuesday night we converged on "Big Lagoon" campground and had a great time. The name of the site was briefly changed by Florida State Parks personnel to "Greyhound Lagoon", then "Massive Hangover", but they settled on "Big Garp" after Edge's rolling vomit session through the park caused many casualties among the local gators and coons.
Big thanks to DJ and Mark Nichols for bringing your boats, I hope there was no permanent damage to your equipment or your reputations for what went on over the week. Mark missed the group photo but he was there in spirit. Your fish cook-up over the fire was great.
Most of the pictures on the beach occurred on Wednesday, the rest of the time we were on boats. The weather was perfect - no humidity to speak of and the temperatures and lack of wind were just great. We survived the FloraBama and I will say just one word on behalf of someone (some of you will know what I mean): "GILF".
